Hello world! I’ve decided to start a blog to track my learning progress with the goal of becoming a full-stack developer. I’ve avoided programming for most of my life, but I’ve always been the type of person who is relentless when it comes to learning new skills and knowledge and this is the perfect field for that. So for months, I’ve dabbled with various resources from Udacity, Udemy, edX, Codecademy to learn as much programming as I can.
I’m grateful to have stumbled upon The Odin Project to provide me with a solid curriculum that I can follow. Without it, I probably would’ve studied aimlessly from course to course until I lose interest. I hope this blog can provide you with some insight through this arduous journey.
As for my background, I come from the healthcare field with little programming knowledge. In my academic studies, I took a programming class in high school that focused on C++ and I hated it. In college I took a Nursing Informatics class, which was about information and communication technology, but no coding whatsoever. So yes, I’m a registered nurse aspiring to become a developer.
